Dusit Thani Maldives Engaged in CSR

The beautiful resort of Dusit Thani Maldives is actively engaged in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that imparts positive impact to the islands and locals as well.

The luxurious resort of Dusit Thani Maldives is located on Mudhdhoo island of Baa Atoll. This atoll is one of the most unique atolls of the Maldives. Testament to this uniqueness of the atoll is that it is currently recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Most recent CSR project of Dusit Thani Maldives involves the neighboring island of Baa. Dhonfanu. The resort is financing the building of a pre-school for the children of this small island community.

Currently work is underway to build this pre-school. On completion the place will have a classroom, a teacher’s office with store room, ablutions facilities and a covered porch. Expected completion date of the project is June 2015.

Regarding this CSR program General Manager at Duist Thani Maldives Mr. Desmond Hatton had this to say “Dusit Thani Maldives is committed to supporting our neighbours, whether through large projects or small. The construction of this pre-school in Dhonfanu is a great accomplishment for all those involved, and will give the youngest members of the community a good start in life.”
