Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort has created four days of wonderful activities for families seeking a break in the sun this Easter.
The Outrigger’s chefs and activities hosts have created ‘eggstra’ special activities for tropical beach-loving guests of all ages, making the most of the pristine ‘Robinson Crusoe meets Castaway’ island setting.
On the Easter weekend, March 30 to April 2, kids can enjoy Easter egg hunts, making rabbit masks, face painting, egg and spoon races, and many other ‘eggshellent’ themed activities. Outdoor evening movies on the beach include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bugs Bunny’s Easter Funnies, and the First Easter Rabbit.
A special programme of outdoor activities show the pristine nature of Konotta island at its best, with turtle quest snorkelling, a castaway experience on a desert island, snorkelling with a marine biologist, a dolphin quest trip, serene yoga sessions, sunrise and sunset fishing.
Executive chef Christopher Long and his creative kitchen hosts will prepare mouth-watering occasions such as an Asian food festival on the beach, chef’s Easter Sunday Specials, sushi making, and chef Endar’s Japanese food tour, and more.
In an announcement, John Allanson, the General Manager at Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort, said the staff have also arranged ‘out of the ordinary’ activities such as the renewal of vows, an Equator cruise, local island excursions, sunken beach table dining, and cooking classes in almost any cuisine of the guest’s choice.
“The Maldives at Easter is the perfect time to put the cold northern winter and work pressures behind you and give your family a much needed break in the sun,” Allanson said.
“Guests can be as active or lazy as they like this Easter. Either way, it’s good for body and soul.”
The private island of Konotta is located 340 kilometres to the south of capital Male, and is conveniently accessible via a 55-minute flight from the main Velana International Airport to Kaadedhdhoo Airport followed by a scenic 30-minute journey on a luxurious private yacht.
The award-winning Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort offers guests the largest average villa sizes in the Maldives. Comprising 29 Beach Pool Villas, 21 Ocean Pool Villas, two Lagoon Pool Villas and the three-bedroom Grand Konotta Villa, the resort offers a complete sense of privacy and intimate luxury.
Captivate your senses with innovative dining concepts, the Navasana Spa, and high-end facilities. In between your diving lesson and massage, indulge in sumptuous Maldivian cuisine or a glass of white Burgundy in one of the resort’s restaurants or the comfort of your villa. As the sun sets, sample Japanese single malts at the Teppan bar while drinking in endless ocean views.
